IRONMAN® has officially launched the digital version, IRONMAN® Virtual Club™ (VC™), offering the athletes a chance to train, compete, and celebrate their winning from their place. This new Ironman virtual racing series has already debuted on April 3, 2020, with its first event, the IRONMAN VR1. The global community of athletes will engage in fun and take challenges in the competition by putting on a wearable device app to record data.

“Train, Compete, Earn, Connect- Anything is Possible; Anywhere is Possible” - Ironman Virtual Club is now accessible to the world athlete folk in a new online format of race series for the first time. Athletes around the world, pushing back against their worry, are ready to test themselves to the new way; Doesn’t matter where they are now.

“At the Ironman Group, our mission is to provide exceptional, life-changing race experiences for athletes of all levels from their first step to the finish line,” stated Andrew Messick, President & CEO of Ironman.

“We believe that under extraordinary circumstances such as these, athletes should be able to maintain the structure and continuity that training and competition provides. The Ironman Virtual Club is an innovative digital platform that enables our athletes to continue training with a purpose, remain connected to our community, and provides an opportunity to compete through the Ironman VR Series.”

Race IRONMAN® VR™ has experienced exciting moments around the event series, which gathers athletes in a hub. In celebration of going virtual, IRONMAN VR1 has been open to free for the fellow athletes to connect.

In Ironman Virtual Club Dashboard, athletes can track training, get challenges; Earn points for the activities, and win achievement badges. Logging in to the existing Ironman account, Athletes can start by syncing the wearable fitness tracker app. The official live coverage was broadcast on Facebook Watch

The last IRONMAN VR1 triathlon series had a 5 km run, 90 km bike and 21 km run. Athletes were allowed to complete each segment entirely and in any order during one season. The event series, as well, makes the athletes fitting for earning qualifying spots for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship 2020 scheduled to be held in November in Taupo, New Zealand.  Additionally, through “o IRONMAN VR Pro Challenge” the professional athletes would be able to have a head to head contest in IRONMAN VR Series races.

IRONMAN VR2 and VR3 has also already taken place. IRONMAN VR2  had a 3 km run, 40 km ride, 10 km run in three seasons between April 10 and April 12. And the next IRONMAN Virtual Racing Series was VR3 which had a 1.5 km run, 20 km ride, and 5 km run between April 17 and April 19.

The “o Challenges” also arranges training tips and a great workout set by IRONMAN U Master Coaches Mark Allen, Matt Dixon, Lance Watson, and Dave Scott for the athletes to help fit them for the next series. Partner challenges from ROKA, HOKA ONE ONE, Ventum, Santini, and Compressport take the initiative to train, compete, and give them winnings in a fun way.

“IRONMAN+” provides all things for athletes throughout their journey. It is an educational hub for them, covering all fitness lessons they need to get them invigorated to touch the target point.

In the Coaching section, “o IRONMAN Coaching by Final Surge” and “o The IRONMAN Training Companion” Powered by PKRS.AI have taken collective steps to access the expertise of Certified IRONMAN U Coaches. At the same time, IRONMAN World Champions Leanda Cave and Jan Frodeno will share their training plans and guidance to assist the athletes in their race day.
